Yes this poet did have a unique life experience. In his childhood he was named after a character in a play. His dad left his family when he was one years old, than his mother died a year after. He was adopted by a Scottish Family, moved to Scotland, and then joined his family in Britain. Later he was a successful poet after he joined the military. Then eventually he found love which he wrote poems about. Soon after she died, and a year after he died.
I cannot relate this poet to anybody but his personality I can. His writing is like Shakespeare, his life is like somebody who struggles to eventually find success, and also somebody who hasn't known his family well and was alone, lastly I can relate him to a person who is very intelligent as he seems through his writing.
I can relate the Poets work to the feelings he had, both sad and dim. But yet some were bright as he was happy for a portion of his short life. The main way his poetry reflects on him is that he is very depressed, and alone.
